These pics show the difference between 1970 340 4bbl and 340 6bbl valve covers. While they did intend to use specific valve covers for the AAR and T/A. They did use both versions when assembling the motors. I have seen a mix of both versions on original cars. Unless you know the complete history of your car its hard to tell which valve covers it came with. When i get asked which one is correct I say you can use either one.
